NCL Prima Pre-cruise Hotel

July is a long time away, but NCL's usual terminal is City Cruise Terminal- which also happens to be the most convenient for what the city has to offer.

I don't know which hotel/s NCL use, but those booking independently will probably go for ...........

Holiday Inn, on Herbert Walker Avenue (not the city's H.I.Express's, both of which are out on the city boundary). The hotel is right by the port gate (Gate 8), and an easy five-minute walk to the terminal.

Rooms at the back overlook the ship at the terminal, rooms at the front look down Southampton Water if want to watch you ship sailing in at daft o'clock in the morning.

Or close by, and between the terminal & city centre, (both easily walkable)

Moxy. A new and slightly quirky Marriott brand

And, next door to Moxy,

Premier Inn West Quay. (note, this is the West Quay location, there are also 3 other Premier Inns in the city centre). Britain's biggest and most-popular budget hotel chain. Clean & modern, the chain prides itself on having the most-comfortable beds in the business.

Leonardo Royal is opposite Holiday Inn, behind it and embedded in the city wall is the boutique Pig in the Wall., and on Town Quay another boutique, Ennio's

The city's only 5-star hotel is Southampton Harbour Hotel in Ocean Village, not convenient on foot (plenty of 5-star country hotels outside Southampton, but again not convenient without a car or taxi).

t Of the three hotels opposite the train station Novotel is the best & Ibis Budget is the cheapest. Consider these if your travel to or from Southampton is by rail, or - because Southampton is a railway junction - if you want to take a direct day-trip to places like Winchester, or Portsmouth or Bath, or to Salisbury & from there by ho-h to Stonehenge.

We’re slated on the July 14 sailing on Prima.  Does anyone know what hotel NCL is using for their pre-cruise stay package?

We’re coming in a couple of days prior so as to wander Southampton a bit.

Thanks.

There are a few hotels located right at cruise docks in Southampton  you have a Holiday inn which is closet one not too far away there is a Novotel and couple Ibis hotels all are within walking distance too port of call.
