Traffic returning to ship in afternoon

We want to go to Maho Beach hopefully to see some bigger planes and plan to be there from 1 - 3 p.m.  If we leave Maho at 3, would that be enough time to make it if we have to be back to the ship by 5:30?  I read somewhere that traffic can be really bad in the afternoon and I also read something about a draw bridge in the afternoon and to make sure you don't get caught there.

Yes. That's plenty of time. 2 1/2 hours from Maho back to the pier is more than enough time traffic or no traffic.

Traffic can get hectic but nothing that would keep you from making it back to the ship in time. Have fun.

Definitely stay until 3pm, from Maho back to the gangway on your ship with traffic would be no more than at the most 40 minutes and that's pushing it.

Don't just get blasted by the jet engines behind the fence😎. Maho is not a real big beach but the water is incredible. While you're waiting for that A330 to taxi take off and blow you out into Maho Bay you can go out and enjoy the water before hand. Water and snorkeling are great.

Don't forget CHEAP SUNGLASSES.

Have fun.
