Onboard Credit and lead Passenger situation

We (me and my partner) are due to travel on Virgin Voyages shortly and what like to know confirm the situation with onboard credit which we recived with this cruise. Am I right in saying that the onboard credit is linked to the lead passenger (we can't be both lead passengers?) Can this be changed for both us to be able to get drinks etc with the other? Surely it should be on the room not the person!!

When you do the check in steps on the app there is an option for the second sailor to state you are paying for everything, then everything gets charged to your loot/tab and then credit card when that’s gone. 
 

or you can go to Sailor Services once onboard the ship and get them to combine your two accounts so everything gets charged to one person.

Totally as above--if you check the box on the app, you both have total access to all bar tab and loot funds.
