Blue Chip Club Tier Benefits

Does anyone take advantage of the Blue Chip Club Tier benefits as shown below?

I am currently Saphire and didn’t realize I had VIP lounge access(assuming this is the Retreat), priority embarkation, Casino Host events and concierge service. Not really sure what the last two even mean?

Regarding the last two benefits, you see they apply to the highest tier and incorporate some of the Retreat level benefits. It seems whatever cabin you choose you'll get free gratuities and pre-embarkation assistance from the Retreat Concierge team.

There is small print under the chart that says you only get access to the VIP Lounge if you are in a suite, which you get anyway in a suite, so it isn't really a perk at all.

I am Sapphire and I called BCC to ask what the Shore-side Concierge Service was and they had no clue.

To piggyback off this, it states: "*Until further notice, due to limited capacity only guests Sapphire and above sailing in a Suite category will have access to the VIP Lounge" so they at least give you the illusion this benefit may come back

The free digital photo package is fun. You have to go to the photographers to get it, but you simply show your seapass with your level, and they add it to your account.

 

At the end of the cruise, you'll get an email with details on how to download any picture taken of you by the ship photographers.

On the day of embarkation, there's usually no wait at the photo studio

Agreed. That benefit works well, no issue although the photo area doesn't always have the qualified people on embarkation day. You can still activate and take photos from day 1. Having said that Celebrity fleetwide seems to have cutback on the number of photographers and their availability. On the Solstice and Apex this year the photographers were never out when we wanted to take photos. Even on Chic Night they aren't out early in the evening. We always have dinner around 7-730 and trying to take photos before dinner the photographers aren't setup between 630-730 but later.

Just got off the Eclipse and noticed this as well.  Even on Chic nights, the backdrops were up but usually no photographer to be found.  I've never had a problem with finding qualified people on embarkation day

So all the pictures are complimentary and you receive the downloads to save the pictures? Are the pictures unlimited? Not that I want to take lots of pictures of ourselves …

Correct.  When a photographer takes your picture they'll ask for your room number.  After you request a photographer set up your onboard account for digital, they'll email you a link after the cruise, it's been within a week.  Also, remember at some ports, X sends a photographer outside the ship so that could have a scenic landscape in the background

Yes, call them and try to get it fixed.  If you did nothing it's possible it just gets fixed automatically, but if it doesn't, you could be waiting in a long line for guest services who may not know how to fix it

They cannot do anything on the ship but email shoreside.

 

Points don't get credited for status until after a cruise either. I started a cruise close to going up a level, and asked if I'd get those perks on the cruise when I achieved the level. The host (who was awesome) explained that she can't do anything with status or accounts except email Miami.

You do not get any prints, they don't print anything without it being paid for. But downloads of all of your photos will be complimentary. You can download all photos that are taken of you when you get home.

 

If you want prints, you'll need to have the downloads printed.

The current pdf language regarding VIP lounge access says this:

 

"VIP Lounge Access is granted to Michael’s Club and/or Retreat Lounge wherever applicable."  it no longer limits it to suite guests.  Someone may have pointed out the ludicrousness of the requirement since suite guests already have access.  I will test it on the Eclipse in August.  I will make it to Sapphire in June.
