Another Funpass Question

Recommended Posts

I have been having all kinds of problems trying to print out my funpass for our upcoming cruise. I've sent emails to Carnival about the problem without any success. Today I finally was able to print something out, but I don't know if it's all I need. It's a card about the size of a plane ticket and it does say Funpass, but the only information on it is our names booking number, ship name and departure date. I was thinking all the information with our passport numbers and stuff like that should be on it. Is this all there is to the funpass? Thanks for any help.

Yes.....that's all there is since they "upgraded" it! I couldn't print mine out so I called Carnival and that's exactly what they e-mailed to me.

The reason they don't use it is that you signed up online. Printing a copy is just for your records or if they request it as you have entered it into their system.

yes, complete it if you can. Especially if before they do your final docs.

But, you do not need it when you get to the ship. Half the people they hire to work the ship for day have no idea what it is. And, they only reason it gets checked over and over is to get you into the right line. Once you get to the counter, they HAVE to look it all up. They are not going to trust some silly print out, are they?

Hi TEEDEE!

Printing it out is not the important issue. The important point is that after filling in all the information and submitting it to Carnival is that it registers COMPLETE.

The only time I would think it might be important to print it out would be if your documents came without the information you submitted to Carnival printed on your documents. In that case, you would hand over the print-out to expedite your embarkation with the Carnival Rep. at the embarkation center.

Now we all know that Carnival tells different things to different people...but when I was having printing problems...this is what I was told.

If you're less than two weeks out from sailing...you should print it. Further on out, it's not necessary. (They will have all the funpass info updated "just right" without seeing your "receipt" as they called it-plus if you do it early enough, your docs say "complete" already). That being said, I was one month out and felt I needed to print it....granted, it took me three days, but I finally got that sucker printed!

Okay, potentially stupid question, but can't you just print out the page that has all the info and says 'click here to print' on the bottom of it?

Except I believe (again - what Carnival told me, for what it's worth) if your docs say "complete" under funpass - even if it's not printed, you get into the funpass line.....because you completed it and have proof of it.

I do agree with you - print it if you can - but if you completed in enough ahead of time and can't print it...don't sweat it....you can still go to the funpass line if it's complete.
