Photo Andy Posted December 1, 2023 #1 Share Posted December 1, 2023 Are you allowed to book 2 cruises together? i.e. Embark Soton, cruise, return to Soton, then disembark then reembark on the same ship and cruise again? I appreciate practical issues - luggage off and on again, different cabins etc. Any smart ideas to do this please? BW Derek.
Host Hattie Posted December 1, 2023 #2 Share Posted December 1, 2023 Here's a recent thread discussing the process for back to back cruises with a change over in Southampton. It's a good feeling staying onboard when almost everyone else has to leave !
Photo Andy Posted December 2, 2023 Author #3 Share Posted December 2, 2023 Hattie, many thanks, I did use the search button but no luck, probably asked the wrong question. BW Derek.
Host Hattie Posted December 2, 2023 #4 Share Posted December 2, 2023 Don't worry, the search is a bit temperamental!
Morgans Posted December 3, 2023 #5 Share Posted December 3, 2023 Yes you can do this - we did one to Dubai and the the second, leaving from Dubai. We were lucky and were allocated the same cabin (after a muddle but that's another story.) The day before the 2nd cruise we were told to collect new boarding cards in advance. We didn't need to disembark but were going on an excursion anyway so used the new cards when re boarding. If you have different cabins you will need to repack most of your things in your suitcases but anything that can be hung on hangers can be transferred by luggage trolley. Your cabin steward will help with the transferring or arrange someone to do it for you. The reception desk consistently told us incorrect information but this is how our experience worked out. You should be fine!
daisybel Posted December 3, 2023 #6 Share Posted December 3, 2023 We are on B to B with Melbourne being the turn around. We were given new cruise cards the night before arriving into Mel ( same cabin) also transit cards and a letter stating we had already complete immigration in Perth at the start of our first cruise. We were told by Cunard staf that we could go ashore and then come back when we were ready . However when we decided to return to the ship had to wait until the ship was zeroed out which meant a waiting time of a couple of hours !! Also if we had decided to stay on board to enjoy a quiet time we would still be asked to disembark. Quite a bit of conflicting information !
