FirstTimeCruiser27 Posted December 9, 2023 #1 Share Posted December 9, 2023 Hi Everyone, I am looking to upgrade my cruise experience with an unusual spa treatment. After trying the regular spa services, I want to look into more unique options. I've thought about trying treatments like a seaweed massage, poultice massage, bamboo massage, or other out-of-the-ordinary spa experiences. I have a question for spa fans: Which spa treatment or service did you find worthwhile during your cruises? I'm searching for unique experiences that stood out during your time at sea. Your recommendations will be appreciated as I plan my next cruise (Carnival Jubilee January 2024).
Rare Mary229 Posted December 9, 2023 #2 Share Posted December 9, 2023 (edited) I prefer to find a great spa onshore than on the ship. I travel occasionally with a sister who loved the spa until I turned her on to booking onshore. The only spa assets I will occasionally pay for are the thermal suite (steam room, sauna, hydro pool) and on longer cruises I will get my very curly locks blown out and straightened. I have tried a variety of other treatments and did not care for them. I am a spa person at home. Treat yourself to a great facial before and after the cruise at home, it will help with any sun damage 😉 Edited December 9, 2023 by Mary229
FirstTimeCruiser27 Posted December 9, 2023 Author #3 Share Posted December 9, 2023 I agree that choosing a spa treatment onshore instead of on the ship is a win-win. It's easier on the wallet. My sister has had some memorable experiences getting massages on the beach, especially in Cozumel, as she often mentions that it was one of the best massages she has ever had.
