What to do in Nassau New Year's Day?

Was keen to do the food and historic walking tour but it's not on due to public holiday. Is anything open or shall we just stay on ship? We've never been to Nassau before.

There’s usually very little to do that day, as everyone is preparing for the Junkanoo parade that night, and/ or hung over from the night before.

We’ve even changed our visit schedule to avoid Nassau on Christmas and New Year’s because of the disruptions to normal tourist activities.
