Anyone Cruising Over Christmas?

This will be the first Christmas that my husband and I are on a cruise ship (River Ship) over Christmas.

 

We are anticipating a great meal on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, but hope my expectations are not too high.

 

Anyone else cruising over Christmas?

 

We are Amsterdam to Basel on the Rhine with Viking River Cruises.

Husband and I are cruising Viking Ocean from Valparaiso, Chile around Cape Horn to Buenos Aires. We will be at sea on Xmas day and going around the tip of South America, at sea, on New Years Eve & Day. We cruised New Zealand to Australia last year at this time and Viking did a very nice job with both celebrations.

Husband and I are cruising Windstar on the Star Legend from Civitavecchia to Barcelona.

Hope you have/had a great time.  On Viking Ocean, what did they do for Christmas dinner?  New Years Eve?  (Not yet there....)

 

On Viking River, I was surprised that there was not a "traditional" Christmas dinner with the number of Americans on board.
