Pollypammy69 Posted December 29, 2023 #1 Share Posted December 29, 2023 Hi - thinking of booking as a solo traveller in a veranda cabin on Apex, currently they offer a £39 ‘inclusive’ offer of drinks and WiFi but it looks like I would need to pay 200% for this - has anyone else experienced this? I’d be paying the full price for the cabin so feels very unfair to pay for two for the package but when I try to book on line that’s what happens
DSJ28 Posted December 29, 2023 #2 Share Posted December 29, 2023 Yes, it's outrageous! Book the cabin only and buy the drink package separately.
Rare Lena11033 Posted December 29, 2023 #3 Share Posted December 29, 2023 I normally book the room and then the drink package after
Baseball fan Posted December 29, 2023 #4 Share Posted December 29, 2023 Yes that is how it works for “always included”. It isn’t a good value for solo travelers. As others have mentioned, purchase the cabin only.
mh5678 Posted December 30, 2023 #5 Share Posted December 30, 2023 I booked my Sunset Verandah with the cabin only. Then I waited for the drink packages and wifi to go on sale. Got good deals for Black Friday,
iandjm Posted January 2 #6 Share Posted January 2 Total discrimination against singles as you are forced to buy the package and WiFi separately losing any discount offered to couples. Oddly if you do manage to book a single stateroom (which frequently cost more than having a twin room as a solo) they only change you once for the drinks and WiFi package. It’s about time Celebrity sorted themselves out.
critic2023 Posted January 2 #7 Share Posted January 2 Ouch... I didn't even notice this because I was so distracted by not getting the discount when I booked a regular cabin as a solo for an upcoming cruise. May need to go back, check the prices, and cancel/rebook the drink package then. Thanks for the heads up!
