Review: Beyond December, 2023 Sailing

The weather in Cartagena is very similar to Ft. Lauderdale.  Windy and humid.  
 

Other than aggressive "vendors" inside the Walled City feels safe.  Just don't eat dinner outside or they will bother you while you eat.

Was seriously considering booking Beyond but this whole creaking noise thing has got me real uncomfortable.  I'm a light sleeper. 
 

Symphony of The Seas on RC creaked in early March of 2020 but only when the seas were like 16-20 feet for a 24 hour period.  
 

Are there any reports of loud noises on the other new Celebrity ships?

I have not checked into that.  I'm sure there are reports of it, if any, in these boards.

Came across this review while doing a Google search for Celebrity Beyond sailings in December. Lovely detailed review! DH and I will be sailing on Beyond about the same time as you this December (13-23) I was wondering if you didn’t mind answering a few questions?

Was your sailing at capacity? If so, did it feel crowded especially on sea days?

Were there a lot of kids on this sailing due to winter break? (Asking because my niece and nephew will be sailing as well)

You mentioned chair hogs in the solarium, did you notice this problem outside as well?

Was your sailing at capacity? If so, did it feel crowded especially on sea days?  Yes, but it's a big ship so it didn't feel crowded except on sea days when everyone was at the pools.  We used Solarium mostly.

 

Were there a lot of kids on this sailing due to winter break? (Asking because my niece and nephew will be sailing as well)  There were some, but it was a 10 day so not as many as would be during the summer; however, with your dates being during Winter/Christmas Break, you may have more than usual.

 

You mentioned chair hogs in the solarium, did you notice this problem outside as well?  I did not use the outdoor pool, just the Solarium on sea days.  The main pool did look to be crowded most days. I used that pool on port days and I did notice about 5 chairs in a row one port day with towels saving chairs.  The "owners" finally came late in the afternoon, so I think they were probably in port and saved the chairs for when they got back.

I think you will like Beyond and I hope you enjoy your cruise!
