rav4ik Posted January 14 #1 Share Posted January 14 I cannot decide between cabins 1048 or 1251 on the counter clockwise cruise around Patagonia (attaching a pic of the route). #1048 appears to be C2 (not sure how much that matters in my case), is not connected room (which is good for me) but it's not facing the continent on this route. #1251 is listed as C3, it is a connected room (how big of the deal is that?) and it is going to face the continent which I am very much excited about (but not having been on this cruise I don't know if it makes much difference). I did find some quite positive review for this cabin, but would love to hear what the community thinks about it. Oh yeah, and another question, I see either of these is the first cabin after the hump... does it mean some obstructed view? or any other implications of being the first cabin after the angled one? Thanks in advance, Cruise noob appreciating any pointers
Rare cruisestitch Posted January 14 #2 Share Posted January 14 On any route, there is only a short time when you are actually close enough to land to see anything at all. Mostly the ship has to stay a distance away from land in order for the shops in casinos to open. When you are close to land, as in going through the Chilean fjords, there will be views on both sides of the ship.
Wineaux007 Posted January 14 #3 Share Posted January 14 I would go with 1251 as it has bed by the bath, which we prefer. It's located near the aft elevators where all the action takes place -- up to the lawn club/sunset bar, down to dining/martini bar. The only difference a connecting cabin makes on this class ship (except Reflection) is the stateroom door opens into the stateroom. Non-connecting, door opens out into the alcove.
gerelmx Posted January 14 #4 Share Posted January 14 For this itinerary I would choose a cabin on the port side
Mullwi Posted February 26 #5 Share Posted February 26 (edited) Hi all, I had a question on cabins after the bump out like eclipse 1048. Does the previous cabin’s bump out affect 1048’s balcony size or view? also is the bed near that balcony or bathroom?Thank you! It will affect your view forward since it is on a bump out, but balcony is normal size. Bed is by the balcony.
