ShipsandDipper Posted January 16 #1 Share Posted January 16 We’re having an eventful cruise on Harmony. We had a medical evacuation after leaving Galveston, and now we’re assisting a small boat in distress. A Mexican plane is circling above and Mexico is sending out a rescue boat, according to the captain’s recent update. Five people and a dog, fortunately reported to be in good health.

ShipsandDipper Posted January 16 Author #4 Share Posted January 16 Further report from the Captain that they are fisherman who have been missing for a few days, “so it’s good that we found them for them.” They are being taken care of, and we’re moving on. Projected to arrive on schedule at Roatan tomorrow.
omeinv Posted January 16 #5 Share Posted January 16 While it was a perhaps an interesting diversion for those aboard Harmony, you and your ship are considered heroes right now in Cozumel. The fishermen and their dog had been the subject of a broad search after being overdue. Here’s a picture taken well after they announced we were going to help, and it’s almost impossible to see the boat. toxicfairy Posted January 16 #7 Share Posted January 16 Wow now it's just a miracle. Thank God these men ( and dog) were spotted and rescued. I can't imagine how they felt or worse yet how their families felt. Glad it has a happy ending!
June Bug Posted January 17 #8 Share Posted January 17 I saw on the news that a 6 year old boy had an injury and was being evacuated from your ship. Hope the rest of your cruise goes well.

Hope the rest of your cruise goes well. That must have been the nighttime evacuation after we left Galveston. The announcement on Monday morning didn’t give any details, just said there was an evacuation in the early hours. Hope he’s doing ok!
