No, I didn't misunderstand at all. The VIP shore excursion perk is supposed to kick in at Silver, 10 credits.

They have  at least 60 credits which makes them President's Circle. 50 +10 = 60

The General Managers VIP list perk kicks in at President's Circle.

This is why I asked them if they have been getting this perk for their past 50 cruises.

Understand now? Perhaps I wasn't clear in my post.

I still think you are misunderstanding something.

The VIP “tour check in” that supposedly starts at Silver (or any other level for that matter) was a failed experiment of a few years ago.

O would set up a marked off lane with a sign in the lounge. It was supposed to be limited access. The only problem was both the general line and the VIP line were going to the same table and the differentiation quickly disappeared when the crowd surged forward.

The VIP deal lasted less than a year and I’ve not seen it again on six cruises over the past 24 months.

What “Butler escort” deal he was talking about is something different for the top tier O Club folks.

No, I got that, let me explain it once more to you. Below where they say "it", I would think that pronoun they used is referring to the title of this thread, Silver status VIP Shore Excursions Check in.

As someone who achieved President’s level earlier this year, it does exist.

Maybe it's because you're on the General Managers VIP list.

Thus, my question if they've been getting the perk for their past 50 cruises. If they have then it does exist, if they haven't been getting it then it's because of their current level, not some perk that was a failure that should be removed from the list.

I see your point in that someone whose president’s level should know what they’re talking about😳
nonetheless, there’s no way the head butler was seeking out a silver level O Club member and whisking him/her through the tour waiting line.

Exactly! Hence My question asking them if it's about being on the General Manager's VIP List.

I was on a couple of cruises with some folks years ago that were at that level before it even existed, I think they were one of the first to get there. They got all kinds of stuff including many free excursions, very special treatment etc. They gave my wife and I a couple of excursion tickets they were not going to take as well as some bottles of wine they were not going to drink or take home.

We probably won’t ever get to that level of loyalty if it actually exists. What’s interesting, over all of our cruises I have never witnessed the tendering line to be interrupted to let someone to be escorted onto the empty tender. Just out of curiosity, how it would work on the way back from the shore? And to be clear, while I wouldn’t be comfortable to use it at all not that I'm opposed to this perk to be offered to someone who has sailed with Oceania so many times or even booked in the top suites.

It certainly does exist!

Aware of this. What I meant IF it exists in the future when we can reach that level theoretically. Not that we’re after that type of exclusivity anyway.

Which makes we wonder about the future of no charge for air deviation as a perk for those Gold and above. Will there still be an air deviation charge? I guess we'll have to see how it plays out. Looking over the list of perks for various levels it appears that more than a few have had their value diluted. I'm for cutting some of them out and boosting the SBC back to at least the levels they were before the last "Club Adjustment"
