Port Canaveral and Sensation Parking

I was going from Jacksonville to Miami today, and decided to stop at Port C. to see if the Sensation was in port yet. No luck, just the NCL – Spirit. As I was leaving, I thought I would stop in at the Port Authority’s office to get more info on the Sensation and parking. Here is what I was told:

On Thursday, the first cruise for the Sensation after rehab, the ship will be at the Royal Caribbean embarkation port (RCCL Port) same dock used by the Glory, and all RCCL ships. The Fantasy will be at the Carnival port like usual. This is going to be a busy day, because the Disney Wonder will also be in port.

All Sensation passengers will be parking at the Fantasy parking lot and be shuttled to the RCCL port. They will want customers to drop off their luggage first before parking. The guy I talked to also said they may have valet parking, but that was still up in the air. When the Sensation returns on Monday 3-27 (That is my cruise) it will be at the Fantasy port. That is where those passengers debarking will have parked their cars.

On Monday, March 27th, the Sensation will be at the Fantasy port and return to the same dock. These passengers will drop off their luggage first before parking in the Fantasy lot. Note: only the Sensation and Sovereign of the Seas will be in port.

I asked if they would have enough parking at the Fantasy lot, and he said he thought so, but they may have to open the other lots (Disney and RCCL) if parking gets tight. He does not think that will happen because the debarking passengers will open up spaces. If it does happen it would be mid to late morning. By afternoon, the parking situation would have corrected itself. He tells me that they are prepared and ready for Thursday and next Monday.

I hope this helps people going out of Port C this week. If you have question, please fire away.

Sensation 3/06

Sovereign of the Seas 4/05

Sovereign of the Seas 12/04 (Cancelled due to illness)

Glory 5/04
