Superbowl tidbits for those going out next weekend..

I have done a cruise over Superbowl Sunday and its a blast but i thought id mention a few things that people will probably be asking..

1. The game is going to be shown in mutliple spots. Pool big screen, various lounges, casino etc. On Excel Ships a good spot will be Summer Landing/Heroes  Bar.

2. Dont expect to have some kind of buffet with wings, nachos, etc. its possible but not likely. Of course, if you are in a bar that sells food for an upcharge then thats what you do.

3. You definitely can send a "runner" to the lido or wherever to get food and bring back. I person at least needs to stay behind or your seat is gone.

4. If a good seat is something you desire, find out where you want to watch and park it.  I believe people started gathering at 2:30. Once seated you can alternate          with others to go do stuff if you dont want to be locked in front of a tv for 7 hours straight.

If anyone else has anything to add please do..

It’s been years since we sailed on Super Bowl weekend. When we sailed they also showed the game in the main auditorium.

They did have snacks there but I don’t remember what all they had. I want to say they had tenders but not wings

This will be my second time sailing during super bowl, the first was way back when the Sunshine was the Destiny, we watched in the big theater where the shows are, they had drink service and food set up. It was a blast!!!

This time we will be on the Mardi Gras sailing Feb 10th and cannot wait!!!

I'm going to be on the Venezia. We actually sail away on the eve of Superbowl Sunday from Manhattan, so I assume it will be a combo sail away/Superbowl celebration in the Pool deck area.  I'm glad I'm not a super fan of either team, so I can enjoy the party atmosphere without trying to focus too hard on the actual game. I imagine it will be difficult to really WATCH the game.
