cacruisin Posted February 2 #1 Share Posted February 2 (edited) Good day, We fly into Houston to sail out of Galveston. Since our drink packages do not apply on the day of sailing, we plan to bring on a bottle of wine with us. My question is, how is alcohol sold in Texas? In CA you can buy 24/7 at places like a 7-11 and grocery store etc. But I know in other states there are restrictions on times/days or locations alcohol can be purchased. What is the case in Texas? lifes-a-beach Posted February 2 #2 Share Posted February 2 I had to Google it because I don’t drink but here’s what came through: For grocery and convenience stores, Texas's alcohol sales times for wine are the same as beer: Monday through Friday, 7 am to midnight, Saturday, 7 am to 1 am; and Sundays now, from 10 am to midnight. Aside from grocery or convenience stores, package stores sell beer and wine, not liquor.
