Buses to Dickenson Bay Beach

I just returned from the Carnival Liberty and we did Dickenson Bay while in Antigua. As we walked off of the pier, there were women there asking if we needed a taxi to the beach. They put us with several other people going to Dickenson Bay and took us to a large group of taxi drivers and found one of who had room for all of us. It was strange - we had to walk through some backyards to get to his van. But it was nice not to have to worry about finding a cab. And, as always when taking a taxi in the Carribbean, be prepared for an "adventuresome" ride! I didn't tip the woman who took us to the taxis - she didn't hang around and it didn't seem necessary. The ride was about 10 minutes and cost us $3/person each way. I had exact change, so I don't know if you have to have exact change or not.

Have a great time! By the way, we rent jet skis - we wanted to do the banana boat, but didn't get to it - and had a GREAT time!
