yvr49 Posted February 20 #1 Share Posted February 20 I'm curious about the arrangements for tours in Napier. We would like to try some local wines and see some scenery, as well as viewing the Art Deco buildings that the town is known for. Can we expect to find local operators offering tours when we disembark, or would it be better to prebook an excursion? We will be there on a Saturday. yarramar Posted February 20 #2 Share Posted February 20 There will be local operators but you would be better to prebook any excursions offered by them. Googling will bring up many choices but go for a local company such as this one. https://www.napiertours.co.nz/napier-sightseeing-tours/
Cleocruiser Posted February 28 #3 Share Posted February 28 We used Trip Advisor for all of our tours in New Zealand. They all worked out great!
Rare cruiselvr04 Posted April 6 #4 Share Posted April 6 We did Napier on our own. We had planned to go to the hot tub and pools by the ocean in the city but it rained that day. Instead we went to their aquarium and did a behind the scenes blue penguin tour. The shuttles from the ship dropped off us in front of it. The rain stopped and we walked back through town to the other shuttle drop off. It made for an inexpensive laid back day.
