bus to Taormina from Giardini Naxos

Does anyone know how exactly to catch a bus or train once we get off the cruise in Giardini to get to Taormina?  Cost? Convenience?

If you make a google map of these coordinates, then go to street view, you'll see the Etna Bus/Interbus ticket office: 37°49'38.6"N 15°16'03.1"E

 

It's about 1 km/six-tenths of a mile on foot from the port.

 

The bus ride is about 15 minutes and costs 1,90 euro.

So Google maps works pretty well for this area then?  Because other areas of Italy are better navigated with Moovit, but I was having difficulty with it.  Can I pay with credit card on the bus?  Or is it cash only?  Or do I have to buy the tickets somewhere else first?

You buy the tickets at the booth, but I don't know that they would take credit cards for such a small purchase.
