Gunther1 Posted March 23 #1 Share Posted March 23 Does anybody know if the Indian or vegetarian menu in the MDR has to be requested the day before wanting it ? On our last voyage, we got different answers from different people in there.
Sea Hag Posted March 23 #2 Share Posted March 23 I don't know about this, but if you're a fan of Indian food, you should check out an item on the breakfast menu. It's Aloo Masala and Egg Bhurji. I think it was available most mornings, and it was really good. Large enough that next time we'll get one and split it. I got it, while hubby got something else and ended up helping me on mine.
YourWorldWithBill Posted March 23 #3 Share Posted March 23 Our last cruise we were in Club Orange, and when I wanted something from the Indian menu I had to request it a day in advance. So, it's probably better to be safe rather than sorry, even in the MDR. I think that at breakfast you don't need to order in advance. For example, on a previous cruise I had a South Indian dish, dosa, one morning at breakfast in the MDR. It's one of my favorite dishes, and even if it's not on the menu I think they are making it every day because of the number of staff from South India on most ships. The head chef on a cruise told me that.
