Bayou Cafe on Island Princess

We are going to be on the Island in June. Has anyone eaten in the Bayou Cafe recently? I have heard it no longer serves Creole/ Cajun food and is the same as the Crown Grill on other ships in the fleet. I am hoping that is is true as I can’t eat spicy food. We have reserved it twice for the voyage but will cancel if needed.

There were never that many spicy dishes there ever. Even under the old menu it would have been easy to avoid heat

We were on the Island last September/October and had a wonderful meal at the Bayou Cafe.  You are correct that the menu is no longer New Orleans inspired and is simply a Crown Grill venue under another name.  We found the menu identical to the Crown Grill on the Regal in January.  Enjoy!

Good to hear. I'm originally from Louisiana and ate at Bayou Cafe last summer.  All my courses were pretty big misses with the exception of dessert.
