Car service to the ship from London to Southampton

We’re on the cruise from Southampton. Will be staying in London for a couple of days. With the luggage we prefer a car and driver to get us to the ship. Last time we used car service to Southampton was pre - COVID. They seem to be out of business now. Anyone can share what company they used to arrange their transfer to the ship lately?

Very good service provided. Service from London may have a different price. Ask them. Cheers…

Yes, sadly CC members' favourite Smiths was a casualty of the pandemic.

How is the Uber service? Looks a little more cost effective, understanding that prices fluctuate.

I used Blackberry last summer and I am using them again in July. Excellent service provided last year.

I wouldn't recommend planning an Uber from London to Southampton. Theoretically it might look like a good idea but most Uber drivers will be locally based and not planning on doing a multi-hour round trip. I think you'll struggle to find a driver who accepts the ride. If cost is a concern, take the National Express motorcoach, don't chance it with Uber.

Interesting, that I have plugged the route in at various times and it looks like it’s up to 30% less than a limo. We are coming into LHR late, so if it works, we’ll take National. Not sure of the distance between the Southampton drop off point to our hotel but I guess we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it. Thank you.

That's Uber marketing.  They are not connecting to any drivers when they give you that estimate.  As stated above, I would not assume that any drivers local to Heathrow want a multi hour trip down to Southampton
