Wetmib Posted April 17 #1 Share Posted April 17 I'm not an international flyer, so some grace, please. We fly out of Raleigh early am to get to Toronto ~8am ish. Flight to Vancouver leaves 10:15..ish. 1) Do we collect our bags here, for Customs check (and is it Customs ck, then bags ck) 2) is it Customs person ck only 3) no Customs ck until Vancouver Am I making too much of this - I'm just not wanting to be concerned about making the next flight. All on Air Canada. The last topic I saw on this was a few years old... times change. Thanks all.
Rare martincath Posted April 17 #2 Share Posted April 17 YYZ has a handy guide to all the steps - for an Air Canada flight from RDU, connecting to a YVR-bound flight, here you go! Specific expectations for Immigration/Customs here (Kiosk info, Advance Declarations - your connection time should be enough, but I would recommend always doing all things in advance that you can to expedite your way through the steps in case your incoming flight is running late and your Enough Time becomes Worryingly Short)

Wetmib Posted Wednesday at 10:54 PM Author #4 Share Posted Wednesday at 10:54 PM Followup. Bags were checked thru from raleigh to vancouver via air canada. Small customs lines in toronto- maybe because of time of day? Thanks And. Lol,, no problem making next flight. It was delayed over 3 hours..after 2 hour scheduled wait. Oh well. We got there, our bags got there.

Here is the link to put in a claim. https://www.aircanada.com/ca/en/aco/home/fly/flight-information/flight-disruptions.html?acid=EXT:SEM:TD+Aeroplan+Performance+Max+EN::::&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjw34qzBhBmEiwAOUQcF0woFtHpxAPoLxpuHduZ4BvigpCrO_dKF4FHUtebHyRNEmJX13_huRoCgA8QAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds#/delayed
