I am currently on the Carnival Glory - Not sure if the cabin category changes things, but here is the free stuff in the bathroom:

anayone know if this stuff is on the Legend. We are out of here tomorrow. Can't wait.

They have amenity baskets in the bathrooms on all cruises. What's IN the baskets may be varied, however. I've had razors, toothpaste, toothbrush, Tums, Rolaids, Skittles, comb, conditioner, shampoo, gels, etc. (If you like one of the little sample products and run out, ask your cabin steward for more. No prob.)

I tried the Olay Regenerist on the Glory for the first time. I LOVE that stuff!!!!! Must go buy some...my sample tube is now gone.

I have personally enjoyed the free toilet paper that Carnival has always provided for me. .

 

What they really need is a small sewing kit, though. I "accidentally" packed one from a great hotel in Cancun that even has a thimble and about 20 colors of thread, four needles, and a needle threader..in a hard plastic case. I always take it everywhere I go....and have actually used it!

As a conissuer of toothpaste, I can attest that the orange-flavored toothpaste is nas-ty. The cinnamon is pretty good (if you like red hots) but the mint is best of all.

Q about the goodie baskets: I've always wondered if these were stocked with stuff purchased by Carnival, or do various companies supply sample sizes for promotional purposes (possibly even paying Carnival for placement)?

 

Oh, and yeah, that orange toothpaste is strange. Reminded me of candy orange slices! I'm using the mint now, and it's not bad.

Orange toothpaste? Ewwwww. I had Crest Rejuvenating Mint Gel.....have bought it regularly since the cruise.

 

Yep, I definitely think the manufacturer's supply the samples to the cruise lines. Not a bad promo - I bought the t'paste, didn't I?

It was a nice touch. I loved the Olay product too!

 

Dusty, my hair is medium length and thick and I did fine with the hair dryer. Packing light is much better! Have a great trip.

thanks barb for letting me know about the dryer. last year i took way too much stuff i thought i would need. i was too overloaded with unnecessary things. i am going to use the ships dryer, all the ammenities in the bathroom and mix and match my clothes so i only take half of what i took last time. one check in and a duffle to carry on is all i want to pack this next time. i will do my best to scale back and just have a good time.
