Traderboy Posted May 4 #1 Share Posted May 4 We have just enjoyed a Fjords cruise on Sky Princess. The basic WiFi access worked very well and you could easily switch between devices. Such a contrast with Celebrity basic WiFi which is useless and just exists to allow them to gouge out more money for an upgrade. Well done Princess cruises - you earn our respect and future custom. What do there think?
memoak Posted May 4 #2 Share Posted May 4 I don’t know why you specify basic WiFi. There is only one kind of WiFi on ship
sarahuk Posted May 4 #3 Share Posted May 4 Hi Traderboy, We returned from a cruise on the Sky a few weeks ago. We too were impressed with the Wifi. I agree with you about Celebrity Wifi. Sarah
Traderboy Posted May 4 Author #4 Share Posted May 4 I see what you mean , memoak. I meant the 1-device WiFi that is included with the Princess plus package. It is not worth upgrading to the Princess Premier package for WiFi reasons. Incidentally I don’t like the idea of lots of reserved seats in the Theatre for people on the Premier package. No marks to Princess for this attempt at gouging the customers!

No marks to Princess for this attempt at gouging the customers! How is this “gouging”? You pay more, you get more. That’s how capitalism works on land and at sea. I have used wifi on Princess before and after the conversion to Starlink and found it at least adequate almost everywhere I went. I don’t think I would be happy paying $25 a day, but when it’s bundled, you tend to forget what it costs.
