psuboater Posted May 21 #26 Share Posted May 21 Vote for specialty the first night. The first night is always a mess as people are learning the ship and bottlenecking into reservations. Last year we did Ocean Blue the first night and had a front seat to the Statue of Liberty during our sailaway. It took the stress out of the first night for sure. JimR24 Posted May 28 #28 Share Posted May 28 We leave in 18 days on the Sky. We used our FAS meat on the 1st sea day of our 9 day cruise. It's a port heavy itinerary and I didn't want to take the chance of being exhausted after a port day. Also, we are celebrating my daughter getting engaged on the cruise and it's going to happen that day. Lets just hope she says yes or it's going to be a long trip for the guy. complawyer Posted May 28 #29 Share Posted May 28 back2cruising1. we were onthe ncl star last month, and on he 1st day, the concierge came to our cabin with a list of all the specialty restaurants and all we had to do was fill out the dates and times we wanted to go to each one. done deal. whats even better, if youre staying in the haven complex you should have no problem getting reservations. again, talk to the concierge. depending on the length of your cruise, and which specialty restaurants are onboard, why dont you try and avoid the hassle, and each dinner in the haven restaurant,
