Planning for Chichen Itza and Cenote-what to bring?

We are doing this tour through Carnival in June.  I've watched a few Youtube videos but still have some questions!

For those who have done this tour:

Should we bring water or snacks for the bus ride?

Do people leave things on the bus when they are at the ruins and the cenote?

Should we bring water shoes for the cenote?

A towel?
