There was a access point just outside of our cabin

Assuming this gave you decent internet service in cabin? Which package did you have? Overall, how did you find the speeds in different areas of ship?

I always get the top package. Speeds were okay, but nothing great. You can add Starlink to an existing ship, but the performance won't be as good as a ship that was designed with it in mind. I haven't found any older Carnival ship that can come close to the Internet performance of the XL ships.

Speeds in public areas tend to be better than speeds in cabins which have lots of metal to block signals.

Were you able to bring bottles of wine or limoncello back on board.  Was it held on board until debarkation, or were you able to bring back to your room

I was able to bring on anything at embarkation. After that, it was beer and wine only. Limoncello is not wine - you might get lucky or not.

Did you see if there's still free sauna's and steam rooms in the gym? I would assume those are hard to remove.... but who knows.

I did not, but assume they are still free. The rooms are still there. The spa tub was removed.

LOL  I was offered those things twice this year as the pre-landing snack on return flights from Heathrow, once on American and once on British Airways.   After the first one, which I found yucky, I passed the second time.

I am enjoying your port pictures. I have been to a couple of those ports and will be in the Mediterranean again in September on Celebrity.  Thanks for sharing.

You're welcome and thank you!  There is a satellite coffee shop. Right next to the pizza place.

Do you or anyone else know if the satellite coffee shop is still there after dry dock refurbishment?

Th excursion du jour was Taormina on Your Own. It included round trip bus transportation and a "guide" that provided minimal instruction or guidance other than what time to be where if you wanted a ride back to the ship. Hence, the "On Your Own" part of the title.

We had been to Taormina several times before, so had a good idea of what we wanted to see/do/buy.

Could you tell me where you were dropped off in Taormina? North or South bus station? I think I read somewhere it would either be Porta Catania or Porta Messina.

Porta Catania The guide got us to the top level and that is where we would meet at later.

That is also where we have always gone.

You can see where the buses let people off and the top floor where the elevator takes you.

Does the Serenity Deck still have the wooden shade structures? Looked like wooden cabanas.

I think so. Will have to see if I have any pictures,
