Procedure for Disembarking Early (?)

We are looking at booking the Preziosa out of Southhampton but getting off at Le Havre one day early and continuing to Paris.  What is the procedure for doing this?  Just tell them once onboard?  Any Schengen or immigration issues?  The ship is in port at Le Havre until 8pm or so... so could we wait until lunchtime to disembark since we technically paid for that last day?

Any first hand experience would be most welcome.  (And any feedback on the Preziosa because I am seeing a lot of "this was the worst ship ever" comments).  Thanks

I did this last year on the Seashore from Italy to the US. I went to guest services a few days before I wanted to actually depart and told them. They gave me a form to fill out saying that I was leaving the ship voluntarily and I would not be entitled to a refund. I received luggage tags in my cabin for the new disembarkation port. I’m not aware of any issues with getting off early in Europe.
