barb in ga Posted June 4 #1 Share Posted June 4 I have always driven from Atlanta to Port Canaveral for cruises, but I am meeting my travel partner on the ship, so I'm flying this time. Are there any pros/cons to be aware of for these airport to ship or ship to airport trips? The prices on Delta are close, or I can use Skymiles for either airport. Thoughts, please? Zach1213 Posted June 4 #2 Share Posted June 4 I've flown in to Melbourne but not for a cruise. It's small, and I can't imagine there are many ground options between Melbourne and the port (though I could be wrong). Orlando is going to have countless options. The drive itself is roughly the same time. If you can find good ground transport from MLB to the port, I would definitely fly in and out of there for ease...but if options are truly as limited as I would imagine, MCO might be the better option. Stingray64 Posted July 18 #3 Share Posted July 18 Flying into Melbourne from ATL is the way to go, super simple and transportation is available. I drive cruise passengers all the time. The nicest part is your return is a breeze compared to MCO crowds and long security lines.
Rare KatRangoon Posted July 25 #4 Share Posted July 25 Try Southwest if you're going from ATL to MCO, I often snag deals for $100 each way and includes baggage, which if you're taking a couple suitcases on Delta adds up fast!
