Is the Liberty late?

Recommended Posts

They say that they are just behind schedule and Running a little late!

They said nothing else:(

Well that's just great!!! Now I know I'll never get any sleep tonight!

I'm leaving in just over a year & I so know this is going to effect my vacation  !!!

I need to go now & call Carnival, I just know I deserve a free cruise ;) !!!

Hope they get all the "little gremlins" kicked off the ship before the 15th. I am sure Carnival does not like the ship in port for too long (Assuming the casino is closed and not making money). I am currently holding up a shot of Crown toward the vessel and wishing this voyage a safe and pleasant return.

Old Cruiser.

We were also with you on Feb 26th.

I would suspect that the Liberty will be the last to leave nearly every week as the first stop is either Nassau or Freeport.

There are just too many ships in port for all of them to leave on time.

For all those future Liberty cruisers, I wouldn't worry about it.

I was, of course, looking forward to sailing in the daylight, but alas, it wasn't to be.

I hope my first stop isn't Nassau - should be San Juan! On the April 1st sailing... Now if this were a plane several hours late, - cocktails would be free. :D

Hi Karl. Karl is right about the Liberty. I was told that the ship would be delayed since they wanted to find out why the computer failure occured that caused the power failure. You can imagine what could happen if the ship started to leave the dock and a power failure occured again. Not only did we lose the lights but the engine completely stopped and we drifted for an hour or so.

During our power failure, some people were really upset, especially those in the interior cabins. John (Cruise Director) did his best to keep every one informed but the rumors continued. Not only could they not see what was going on without a window but they lost their air conditioning and their cabins got a bit stuffy. We opened our balcony door (don't laugh but that Bungy cord worked like a charm - a Cruise Critic thing!) and we had a great breeze coming through the cabin. I have to say that when the lights went out, all the main corridors were still as bright as normal (emergency lighting) and you could navigate the ship without any problem. That was a comfort.
