Pick up time at Rome port

I have arranged a driver to pick us up at the port for Rome(don’t make me spell it…lol). We are arriving on queen Victoria and have a 8 am pick up.  Will this be too early?  We are carrying our own luggage off ship.

We got off Queen Victoria at Civitavecchia on the last cruise.  We left the cabin at 8:25, claimed our luggage and were outside looking for our driver at 8:55 am.  It took less than an hour to get to the airport.

On QV last month, self disembarkation at Civitavecchia began, I believe, at 7:00 a.m. so you should have no problems meeting at 8:00 a.m. pick-up.  We were alongside at 5:20 a.m. (!).
