car rental suggestions Vancouver cruiseport

sailing Alaska cruise Sept 15th looking for car rental suggestions at the cruise port Vancouver.

appreciate any assistance would be appreciated since it is all new to us

Are you just staying in Vancouver?  If so, you don't really need a car as everything is walkable or by public transit.

 

If you really need a car; I suggest going online to the big agencies to find out where their downtown locations are situated.  You might even phone them to see if they deliver to the port.

 

Alternatively, take the transit system to the airport and pick up a car there.

On top of the car rental problem, finding a gas station in downtown Vancouver is likely one of the most difficult problems facing drivers today.

So true - there is only one gas station still in business on the downtown peninsula and it is at Burrard and Davie and I think it is an Esso station.
