Ruby (Crown Class) Suite Question?

Long time cruiser, with suite D737 (aft) booked on the Ruby Princess. Just curious... is the pointed area a doorway to somewhere? (It doesn't appear to be in photos).  Any info on this particular Crown Class cabin would be greatly appreciated!  Thx!

It is a stairwell.  I believed used only by the crew, but probably also an emergency exit.  We stayed in one of those suites about 8 years ago and never heard any sounds from the stairs.

I had that suite for 10 days last December. Room pics start in post #29 of my photo review
