Wendybird1977 Posted June 30 #1 Share Posted June 30 My first Mediterranean cruise (a work award). I asked my colleagues for recommendations of a tour company and I contacted several. I have been throughly impressed with the clear communication and offerings from this one. Www.spaindaytours.com The price is very affordable for half day shore excursion. 85 Euros per person. Unless your tour is heading off around the island, there is not really any need for a tour in Palma itself as ships dock within the city, albeit on the outskirts, and although a it would be a long hot walk into the historic centre, there are public buses and taxis to take you there. Should you decide against an actual tour, Palma itself is a very attractive city with a number of worthwhile sights, also perfect for strolling. There is actually a huge "pinned" thread at the top of this forum with "all things Palma" info on it. Racer70 Posted July 1 #3 Share Posted July 1 (edited) We were on the Oasis of the Seas and ported in Palma on June 17 from 9:00-4:00 pm. As Edinburgher said, you can do Palma on your own. It’s a very nice city with lots of high end shopping, restaurants & cafes, plus the Mercat de Olivar and many other things. Royal Caribbean had shuttles from the cruise terminal taking you to the marina directly across from the cathedral for 10 Euros (cash) round trip. From there, you simply walked across the street into Palma & returned when you wanted. Edited July 1 by Racer70

Any noteworthy restaurant recommendations?
