boarding docs ? Just got'em

My docs showed up in the mail today and I remember reading some post from people who had guarantee cabin bookings that they got some type of hint as to wether they were upgraded or where their cabin might be by a code or # in the documents. I looked but I see nothing that gives me a hint even the luggage tags are Grey TBA

 

However there is a page that says our funpass is completed and to go directly to the funpass checkin line.

 

The other page that list itemized charges for the Total is $60.00 more then I paid.

I can't help with the guarantee part (although I do remember the post), but regarding the higher charges, could be that the TA you used discounted his/her commision.

Yes, I remember it well. I too got my docs in the mail today. Open the Welcome Aboard booklet that has your tickets in it, look at the back of the Sail & Sign Account and Guest Ticket Contract. On the back of this page (which should be about the fourth page), look at the very bottom of this page. You should see your booking number followed by 4 or 3 numbers, that should be your cabin number.

Thanks I did find it and I will have to see if that is the cabin I get when we board. The Carnival wen page is down this AM for upgrades so I can't see where it's located.

The cabin is R147 (No upgrade I guess) and is right at the middle set of elevators and stairs.

Would there be any chance of an upgrade now that the cabin is listed on the back of the ticket contract?

Hi Mooguy. The chances are very slim that your cabin will be changed at this point. However, just to keep your hopes up a little longer, I'll tell you our cabin was changed two days before our cruise. Our TA called and offered us a balcony cabin with an obstructed view. We had booked a 4A guarantee. (They must have been selling cheap tickets at the last minute and needed less expensive cabins) The cabin which was first assigned to us was an oceanview and we had been very pleased with that. Needless to say, we took the balcony cabin. The downside to this, my DH refuses to sail now unless we have a balcony.

I did not book this cruise as far in advance as some in the past and this may hurt my upgrade chances. Two times before I have booked standard balcony cabins and been upgraded to a mini suite one of which I was unaware of until I was checking in.

The cabin # that was on the back of my ticket contract R147 was not the cabin I ended up with when I got to the ship I was in U34.

I have listed on the back of my S&S E107, the only way I get upgrade any better is to a suite, right?? i booked OV GTY

That's correct, you could get upgraded to a balcony suite, but there are not very many on the Sensation... Good luck and have fun!
