ljandgb Posted July 24 #1 Share Posted July 24 I'm looking at a land trip to Iceland in August 2025, and am trying to avoid being in Isafjordur at the same time as multiple cruise ships. Cruisemapper has several days that month with no ship in port. How likely is it that additional cruises will be visiting that port 13 months out, or are the cruise itineraries fairly set and published by now? Thejuggler Posted July 30 #2 Share Posted July 30 Very unlikely as cruises are sold 18-24 months before sailing dates, so all planning is done well in advance. From a talk on Celebrity a few years ago we were told that planning is done in three stages. Three years before sailing date - initial proposals submitted Two years - final proposal list agreed and initial planning phase undertaken One year before departure - finalising the detail
