Yes, which is how DorothyB came up with her answer. Unfortunately it means a bit more explaining when you go to the restaurants, to ensure that they use the FAS meals with the correct people, but it is in line with the T&Cs etc.

You might also try getting a platinum meal voucher from guest services or even the latitude desk. I think your son should be able to enjoy some of the benefits of his status.
