Costa Smeralda, Med to Dubai via Cape Town

Has anybody booked or thinking of booking this? 

The prices (solo price shown with Costa club discount) look reasonable, however the sea days are very long, 9 and 5 full days at sea. I have done the Med to Dubai with Costa both ways via the Suez, and apart from the sea days this looks an interesting alternative route to go. There are other embarkation ports including Genoa, Tenerife and Cape Town. Could you take 9 full days at sea or is that too much?

Yes, we have as it is the only reasonable priced cruise to go to Dubai, where we then fly on to our family in Thailand.

Yes I could, although it may become a bit groundhog day when you take the whole trip into consideration.
