How easy/difficult to get to Hyatt Regency Jersey City?

We typically stay at the Marriott Courtyard in Elizabeth before our cruises, but got a good deal on the Hyatt Regency in Jersey City for our sailing next year. As one who hates city driving, how bad is the drive to the Hyatt? Just know that the turnpike exits are like spaghetti soup up there 😂 

We’ll be coming up the turnpike from the south. Will we be going way out of our way by going into Jersey City?

It's about 12 miles more driving and maybe 20 to 30 minutes more time to go to the Hyatt Regency rather than the Courtyard.

The Hyatt Regency is about three miles closer to Cape Liberty than the Courtyard...but probably about the same driving time due to having to drive in city traffic in Jersey City.
