Columbia & Snake River – Lindblad/NatGeo vs ACL

Recommended Posts

Thinking about doing a Columbia & Snake River Cruise (paired with Puget Sound & Vancouver Island).  The two operators I am looking at are American Cruise Line (ACL) and Lindblad/NatGeo.

ACL has newer ships with huge cabins.  NatGeo has old ships with tiny cabins, but reputation for more active excursions (and their Columbia/Snake touts food and wine focus).

Looking for any help in choosing.  Thanks!

Booked Lindblad/nat geo Sea Lion for oct 2025. Last time on sea lion was 2009.  Have been on many newer Lindblad and ACL ships since then.  Will let you know how Sea Lion is doing….
This will be our first food/wine focused trip.  Have been looking forward to trying one.   Hope it lives up to our expectations😁🥩🍷
