MAZ-JMZ Posted August 12 #1 Share Posted August 12 If an elderly passenger requires assistance when boarding, is their boarding procedure prioritized in any way like it is at airports when boarding a plane?
Asawi Posted August 12 #2 Share Posted August 12 I don't know what level of assistance is offered, but they do get priority boarding. And I THINK assistance is also offered if requested in advance. But I'm sure others will actually KNOW about this!
valleyvillage Posted August 12 #3 Share Posted August 12 We always have wheelchair assist at the ports, which varies depending on the port. At most of them the wheelchair is available after security, if not before. The final leg of assistance is usually provided by a crew member. Ellis1138 Posted August 12 #4 Share Posted August 12 Fill out this form for the person and choose mobility. https://nclh.my.salesforce-sites.com/AccessDeskForm/ This is just wheelchair from the waiting area up the gangplank. If the elderly passenger will need help for the entire cruise, it might be best to rent a scootaround.
