I'm sceptical.

Most (all?) ships have a room where you can leave your luggage. On my recent Bliss cruise it was Q Smokehouse, on other ships it has been the Bliss lounge. I have seen others mentioning the casino. When I have used this service it has been manned and it's like leaving your coat in a manned wardrobe where you get a numbered ticket.

You can take it onboard yourself. That¨s what I do.
-
You have to ask that once onboard since they don't do things exactly the same on all ships. How stricyt they are can vary as well. If you can't use your priority status for someone else, there is always the option of standing in line for tender tickets. Only one person needs to go there and pick up the tickets. All this, as has been mentioned, only necessary if your excursion isn't an NCL one.

Can't you turn down one of the Free at Sea offers?
Asawi replied to Turtles06's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
But according to post #9 it doesn't have a special price (just some sort of protection against an increase accordning to a later post). So if they want to I guess they can book the cruise individually and remove the drinks package. Just saying... -
Agree! Unless the gangway was already pulled when the relative was notified, why on earth didn't they try to help more? Or did they? Didn't they miss the couple when all aboard came? That part is very unclear. I have lots of sympathy for the elderly couple and it's good to see that things seem to have worked out relatively well in the end.

This story is a great reminder to - Don't leave without your medication or other necessary aids. - Make sure that the ways to contact you and/or your emergency contact that you give during checkin are ones that actually work! (I know that I myself have been guilty of giving out my regular cell phone number, but then had my phone in flight mode in international locations. I do however also, if possible, give my email that I can access as long as I have internet connection. Hopefully I'd be smart enough to put my phone off flight mode in a situation like this and eat the roaming charges. But I can't swear I would be that together if really stressed out.)

At least this is a little bit less of a sob story that the recent Dawn/Africa one.
-
Not that I noticed a couple of weeks ago. But maybe they do Icons now? I think they were in rehearsals when I travelled.

How strict is NCL About what time you have to be back aboard?

Remenber the people left in Africa by Dawn a couple of months ago. Their guide assured them they'd be back in good time. Yet they were late. And a lot late. -
I was on Spirit a year ago. They had more than one table. Two? I prebooked through the app, but don't remember how far ahead.

They don't want to leave passengers behind and TRY to get everyone aboard. Waiting for as long as humanly possible to pull the gangway. It bugs me to no end when I see people leisurely stroll towards the ship after all aboard time and not even have the decency to at least walk fast! Like many others I would not make plans that means a small mishap will risk being late. Yes, things can happen and no matter how careful you are and how much margin you have it can turn out bad. But if you're looking at your plans and think "hmmm... looks tight..." from the start, DON'T DO IT! -
It's all on Jet Blue. And the passenger should get information (from Jet Blue) that "necessary purchases" can be done and reimbursed later. Hygien articles, underwear, basic clothing.
-
Ok. I guess that's why they fly out so early. Still it should be all right, even though it sounds really tight.

Tromsö is a very small airport and I'm guessing it's not an international flight (Oslo?) so airport timing isn't as crucial as on a big airport and/or international flight.
-
I can see that too now that you point it out. I did a tough hike that involved some muddy bits. Had to rinse of most of my stuff in the shower. Not sure how much laundry would have helped that particular time, but yes, you are right!
-
If you're continuing your travels after the cruise it's extremely helpful! In my opinion I can't see much need for laundry if all you're doing is a 7 day cruise. But that's of course just my view.

Well, by now I guess you realise that yes, they can do this. And it¨s not uncoomon. And be very happy about the $100! Most of us that have had stops dropped has gotten less or nothing at all!
