Shared taxi to Orient beach?

We will be in St Maarten in November and want to go to Orient beach. Has anyone been recently or know the price of a shared taxi?  TIA

I’ve booked a ship excursion as I was concerned with traffic.   There can sometimes be long delays and wanted to insure we got back on time

If considering a shared taxi (12 pax minivan), then work on $10 pp.  But all 12 have to agree where to be dropped off (most will want the South of Orient for some reason), then agreeing where to be picked up from, and what time all 12 are to return (disputes?), not private, not comfortable.

 

Remember, in a shared minivan there will always be at least one total AH pax.

 

A private cab, for 2 pax, private and comfortable, with total freedom outward and return, being about $30

 

Is it worth all the angst for the saving a few dollars?  But then, it’s one’s money and one’s choice.
