Trieste port

Does anyone know the best way to get from the Trieste port into our hotel on the grand canal in Venice?

You can travel from Trieste to Venice by train, bus, private transfer, CruiseLine transfer.  Each option takes about 2 1/2 hours.

CruiseLine option is probably the easiest option because you are picked up at the ship. Although you'll need to ask if your cruiseline provides a transfer to Venice (Tronchetto), as some only do transfers to Venice Airport.  The bus and train options will require getting yourself to the train or bus depot. A 15 minute walk.

If you are dropped off at Venice Tronchetto you can take a private water taxi or public water bus to a canal stop close to your hotel.
