? on Making Dining Reservations

We are looking at a cruise that for the category of cabin we want we can only do a guarantee. If we chose to do this, can you still making a reservation in the app at the dining room where you can make reservations at different times for different days? Or do you have to wait for a cabin to be assigned before you can do this. I  know how it used to be; I am just wondering how it is with the new system in place. Thanks!

Yes, you should be able

to reserve SD, internet, MDR, excursions etc. 

 

Whether the MDR is open for everyone to reserve immediately, is a different story.  It is supposed to be available after FP is made, unless platinum/elite status, etc.

But, inconsistency proves that this varies.

 

It does not matter if it is a GTY booking.

I have heard that passengers on cruise critic have been able to book their dining reservations either on the app or the Web version. Try both -if you can’t get into one. And passengers have been posting that they are first time princess cruisers, they are not paid in full, they are not platinum or elite and they have been able to book. So I think the answer is -just keep trying if you don’t succeed the first time.
