Dondada007 Posted September 9 #1 Share Posted September 9 Hello, I just booked a 2 bedroom Grand Suite Aurea on Seashore room 12001 and I am a little worried about being at the very front of the ship, literally the forward most cabin on the ship. Has anyone stayed in one of these rooms before and if so how is the motion. My wife has been prone to motion sickness in the past and I have heard that the more forward you are on the ship, the more movement you feel. I wouldn't have booked that particular room, but me daughter and granddaughter are joining us and it was a little more cost effective to do that instead of booking two separate balcony rooms. Jeal Posted September 10 #2 Share Posted September 10 Yacht Club is in the forward part of the ship. So far, I haven’t read any complaints about motion. I would not worry about it.
SirWolf Posted September 10 #3 Share Posted September 10 Putting size into comparison.. MSC Seashore is similar in gross tonnage to Royal Caribbean Quantum Class (Odyssey, Spectrum, etc) and larger than Princess Sky / Enchanted.. these ships are right below the largest cruise ships.. meaning that they are “massive” ships. RMS Titanic Tonnage: 46,328 Length: 883 ft Height: 104 ft Beam: 92 ft Passengers: 2,453 Crew: 900 Number of Staterooms: 840 MSC Seashore Tonnage: 170,412 Length: 1,112 ft Height: 245 ft Beam: 134 ft Passengers: 5,632 Crew: 1,648 Number of Staterooms: 2,270 Smooth sailing depends mainly on itinerary and season..
