davencl of, course, that goes without saying! LOL!

obviously,  even though I continue to cruise with NCL, my point is regardless of what they may call it, (and there may actually be a slight drop in price, especially after final payment date) there isnt a sale, of any significant savings to the average cruiser. maybe for a 1st time person, it sounds like the deal of a lifetime, but after sailing with ncl more than a couple of times, you realize that you are not going to save any type of real money, unless you choose an indoor or ocean view cabin. I\m  not knocking these choices by any means, it just seems that these are always the lower priced cabins, and even they dont go down much (if at all ) when ncl announces a| "sale"

I'm in the minority that books directly with the cruise line.  I agree that the best time to look for deals and lower priced cabins is when NCL is not promoting a huge "sale".  Those market sales draw the people that don't look for cruises like us.  Its like buying a car too.  You can score a better deal on a car when there is no hoopla with a sale.  When a sale is advertised the customer base increases and there is not as much leverage as when there is not a sale.

david, i'm with you, i book either directly with ncl through my PCC, or casinos ay sea. when i contact either one, it's just to put the reservation together, i know the ship, cabin number etc.

and D&K

you're probably right in theory, but if you follow the ncl website (im anal about that) you'll notice that whenever they claim to be running a "sale" the prices never really vary, and this has been going on since post-covid.

have yet to find anything that has $1,000 off, or any increment thereof

no, but can they really get a better deal than booking directly with ncl. remember, i get the 10% off military discount, and the mrs either gets 20% off a club balcony or less, and 10% any suite or haven  and the shareholders OBC. i'd be more that willing  and happy to inquire if they can do better then that.

If you're responding to me, Cruise Plum is not a travel agency.  It is a very useful (and accurate) cruise price tracking site.  The data on Cruise Plum blows large holes through some of the price change claims made here on the forum.
