I’m On The Fabulous Firenze! A Review With Pics.

We had beautiful views off our balconies. Puerto Vallarta is a gorgeous port with so much do, can’t wait to come back in March! Today we had another great day in Mazatlan and I should have time to post the pics once I get back on board tomorrow. Now I need to get some sleep because I have to get up for the sunrise to meet for our excursion at 7:30. I really don’t like the early and brief visit to Cabo on the this itinerary but I am sure it’s going to be a wonderful day anyway! 😎

Great pics and it is a total bummer with Carnival switching to Cabo last and short changing the time there! I think you have talked me into the Puerto Vallarta excursion! Which do you like more, the Panorama or the Firenze? Going on Firenze in November.

Who knew morning drinking is better than day drinking, especially on Thursdays. No more complaints about the early arrival and departure in Cabo, I think it is a perfect fit!  It”s going to be hard to choose the best day of this cruise, after a nap I’ll figure it out. In the meantime here are a few pics. 😎🍹😎

Beautiful photo of Firenze, wish the pillows didn't hide Ponte Vecchio!

What a gorgeous dining room.  Glad to see they included David, even though he's already on Pride, since the original is in Firenze.

Thanks for pointing that out, I hadn’t noticed what I was missing. Here is the full view without the pillows. The dining room is absolutely stunning and David is quite popular, lots of passengers are including him in their group photos. I plan to take a lot more ship photos during our last sea day tomorrow, this week is going way too fast!

Enjoying your review and photos!  Bringing back great memories of our time on the Firenze in July. The 7 day looks amazing and hope to do a longer voyage on Firenze in the future.

Agree on the Frizzante Bar staff-lots of fun and always up for shenanigans, lead by Suri!

Loved seeing the photos of Suri in Frizzante and Lewis in Il Viaggio as well as the amazing food and drinks! Looks like a great trip!  If it's not too much trouble, would be curious how long they'll be onboard.  Hoping to plan another Firenze voyage soon and looking forward to hearing more about your trip!

We are going back to see Lewis tomorrow night, can’t wait! Tonight is Elegant Night so we will be stopping by the Frizzante Bar for more shenanigans and I will get the scoop for you on Suri and Lewis, they are the best!

Actually the time schedule worked out better than expected! 😜 I love Panorama and the  is basically the same ship but way more beautiful. I would choose Panorama if we are bringing the grandchildren and Firenze for the adults. The Panorama has so much more to offer for families, we have taken our grandson twice and he thinks it can’t be beat!

Did you do an excursion in Cabo? Please share what you did. The picture of the beach is just beautiful and would love to spend time there.  Thanks in advance.

Yes and it was amazing. I’ll will post all the pics tonight or tomorrow. I still need to post the ones from yesterday in Mazatlan. But before that I need to get ready for dinner tonight! 😜

We decided to go to dinner until later tonight, guess we had too much fun today! 😜 So now I have time to post my Mazatlan pics. We booked the City, Malecon, Cliff Divers & Scenic Cliff Divers Excursion. It started with a cruise on a large catamaran that was parked right behind the Firenze. It included an open bar and you were welcome to take extra drinks with you on the bus tour that followed. We passed on the cocktails and just drank water. I think we had  too much fun in Puerto Vallarta, lol! The cruise was better than expected and the tour guide told us a lot about the history of Mazatlan and the port.

After we toured the church we had time to have lunch at Panama, a restaurant recommended by our guide. He was in the restaurant with us helping with translation and anything else we needed. I had shrimp and marlin tacos that were delicious and the total bill for three full meals was $30 American. You can’t eat lunch at McDonalds for that! We drove through the Malecon, New Mazatlan and the Golden Zone after that. We stopped at a jewelry store and the Mazatlan sign. Eric took pictures for all the people in our group. I can’t say enough good things about. He truly made our day.

We did the same tour in Mazatlan a few years ago. Our tour guide was a bit oblivious when we were touring the Cathedral. I noticed when we walked in that there were quite a few people in the pews. More than I would have expected on a weekday. When our guide directed us to turn around and look up to the balcony area, I saw a casket being brought in … she kept talking as if nothing was happening! My friend and I hightailed it out the side door and into the courtyard to wait for the others. 🤦‍♀️

Oh my gosh, that is so not cool! I can’t believe a tour guide would lead a tour in there like it was just a tourist extraction and not a place a worship. Not saying I don’t believe you but that’s terrible! Our guide just led us to the door and didn’t go in. There were a few people in the pews and it was as quiet as it is should be in a church. I was careful to not stand in front of any of the people in the pews when I was taking my pics. We rarely spoke to each other but when we did it was in very soft whispers.

I woke up at 6 AM in Cabo San Lucas to the beautiful view of a full moon setting over the city. We had to meet for our excursion at 7:30 so I had set my alarm. When speaking with my hubby yesterday he mentioned that he had seen an amazing full moon set while he was taking our pup for her 6 AM walk. I thought maybe I would have a chance to see it this morning because I had to get up early. The pic does not do it justice. I think you had to be here but it was great start to a great day. There was a breeze but the seas were exceptionally calm. We must have had no trouble anchoring because the tenders were off loading passengers before 7. In the past two years I have been here 10 times and it’s just like Forest Gump says, you never know what you are going to get!  Today was one of the good  days, no issues at all getting on or off the ship, yay!

We were escorted to a tender as soon as we arrived and were on the pier at 7:45. We checked in with the guides and had 30 minutes to shop a bit before our excursion began. We booked the Beach Bliss Carnival excursion which I think they recently started offering. I originally thought we wouldn’t book an excursion and just hire a water taxi to take us on a tour of the arches and a round trip transfer to Medano Beach which I have done before. The excursion takes you to a beach club in San Jose Del Cabo and the reviews were very good. I knew we would have an excellent chance of getting off the ship easily with a Carnival excursion and the beach club sounded perfect for us. It was! 😎😎😎

The bus was super nice and our guide kept us entertained with the info and history of the Los Cabos area during the 40 minute drive. It was first time I have left the city and I am so glad we did. He told us they had a Cat 2 hurricane the caused some damage to the Beach Club last week but it was up and running. It still didn’t have power though and they were not able to take credit cards so you had to pay in cash. It was not that big of a deal because the drinks were included with the excursion so you just needed cash for the food and items from the gift shop. The Beach Club was fantastic. It was located on the Sea Of Cortez side of the peninsula next to the harbor. The water was calm and clear and it is a swimmable beach. A lot of the beaches on the Pacific side are not safe for swimming.

They started serving the drinks right away and we had quite a few, maybe too many, lol! The ocean was wonderful and we spent a lot of time in it sipping our drinks. We had mostly margaritas and tequila shots and a wonderful lunch. I ordered the ceviche and my friends each got fish chips. It was all delicious and more than we could eat. I would rate this excursion 5 stars, the location, drinks, food and service was top notch!

Thank you so much for posting. I love your pictures of the Beach Club and your information about the excursion. I have been to Cabo several times before but was looking for a relaxing beach day where I don't have to stress about transportation getting there and back. This excursion fits the bill and I hope it is offered next year on our cruise.  Thanks again.
